About TLS

TLS = Tiffany-Lily Samara.

18, Female. Aspiring teacher. Student; studying French, English and History.

I take and and edit all my photos, and basically write/create everything on this blog with my iPad, Patrick. Paddy for short. He’s the only hi-tech thing I own (my sister drowned my camera last year on holiday). I am very fond of him.

I post a ton of photos of my cat, Casper. I adore him. When I’m at home, we are rarely seen apart. He’s the most gentle, loving and affectionate cat, and is literally one in a million; he was born a hermaphrodite. He’s the best of both sexes.

I hate ice, salt, cigarettes, and exotic cheese. Or any cheese that’s not your standard mild cheddar/red leicester. I love balsamic vinegar, salad, root beer, taking opportunities, Mexican food, and life. I also love Paris.

I have crazy parents. The world thinks they’re normal. They aren’t. I’m certain they are two of the most incredible people I will ever meet.

I also have a sister. She is omnibenevolent. Without doubt the nicest person in the universe. (Apart from as a child.. when she cut my hair in the bath, convinced me to climb onto the roof – aged 3 – and encouraged me to let her push me down hills in a multitude of bikes/wagons/sledges. It was character building.) I firmly believe she will save the planet one day.

I really like cupcakes. But more to look at than to eat.
I also like roller coasters, coloured tights, and my duvet.

I make stuff allllll the time, I love the feeling of creating something from nothing. Everything from sewing soft toys to baking cakes to writing poetry.
I also doodle a lot.

I’ve been a vegetarian my whole life. Wouldn’t change that for the world.
If it has a face, I don’t eat it..

I’m an outdoorsy kind of person; camping, swimming in the sea, kayaking, stand up paddle surfing, rock climbing, abseiling & those proper looooong walks where you have to whack out the hiking boots are all amazing. But I’m also very happy snuggled up at home with my duvet.

I’d like to travel for a year or so, exploring new places, people, and cultures.
I’d love to spend a year or two in France.

Hugs/cuddles really are the best.

I play the flute, and various types of recorder. I also sing.. a lot.. and not very well.

Jason Mraz is my favourite musician, and a big inspiration to me through his lyrics and lifestyle. Not to mention his music, which is, in my opinion, perfect.

One of my biggest goals in life is to be fluent in French. I’m a long way off.
Other life goals are to be able to play the piano, and to set up my own school (Montessori).

I’d like to think I’m somewhat of a film connoisseur. Well, I watch a lot of films. Ahem.

I have an irrational fear of whales, waxworks, and bridges with water underneath them. I also have a (perhaps more rational) fear of sharks. Oh, and I really don’t like spiders.

I quite like classic literature and theatre, this makes me sound much more distinguised than I actually am. Love the complete works of Jane Austen; I’m a sucker for romance.

I disagree with killing. I don’t think anyone has the right to decide who can or can’t live, humans and animals alike. (I’m that person at school who rescues the lost insect that everyone’s trying to stamp on.)

I have a strong faith, but recently I’ve felt quite distanced from religion as such.
I think it’s important to explore new ways of living and thinking, and not be completely tied down to one set of ‘rules’. Get back to me on this one, I’m still discovering..

I was born in England, grew up in America, moved back to England, spent less than a year in France and now settled in England.

I don’t understand people with the emotional range of a teaspoon.

I like beauty. Beautiful people, beautiful places, beautiful words.
There’s a lot of beauty in the world really. We just tend to dwell on the ugly.

“Hold your own, know your name, and go your own way.. and everything, everything will be fine.”

Can’t stand the posh stuff.. but strangely enough I do actually really like normal cheese!

We could be such friends…I love so many of the same things. I don’t have a cat though. I used to…her name was Cat Stevens.

    Cool cat.

Cheese is good on a pizza…or a cheese toasties…or cheese and onion crisps.

    The end.

I agree with you completely on the coolness of the cat, and the necessity of normal cheese as part of the foods you mentioned. I just cannot be dealing with the fancy goats cheese/Camembert/Stilton nonsense!
      Thanks for stopping by! :)
